2012

29th March. Puppies are starting to leave home, so lots of final photos this week. "Formal" stacked photos here, and fun photos here

19th March. With the help of Lisa new photos were taken on Saturday at Maryville. Photos here. RRCV Champ show was on the weekend also. Congratulations to Anne Edwards and Di Stratton for BIS with Ch Kushika Secret Bid. Runner up was Macumazahn First Edition. Photos available on line soon!

14th March. Pups are 6 weeks old today. All went well at the vets, 11 healthy pups now microchipped and vaccinated.

A recent article in the VCA Gazette had some reflections on the structural changes to the RR following changes to the US standard making the Ridgeback more of a sighthound. Food for thought here

8th March- due to public demand the first of the individual photos are up. Seriously, Cat dropped by and helped out! Photos here

28th Feb- New photos here. Now eating and getting around. All 11 looking good!

1st Feb- pups born to Ch Isilwane Powderfinger (Doofus) and Blondie. 8 dogs, 3 bitches. All good ridges other than one offset (bitch). No sinus, rear dewclaws, kinked tails or other issues- so far. Pedigree here, representing some of the best RR breeders internationally (COI 2.65%). Some photos taken at 2 weeks here

2011.

November

Blondie has won BEST IN SHOW and Best Gaited Bitch at the South Australian Ridgeback Club Speciality Show under specialist Dawn Redman. Runner up in Show was Kimbisha Making Magic.

September

26th September- Rooi was born at the vets. Sire is Us Ch Redawgs Christofel of Copperrdg, dam Aust Ch Isilwane The Divinyl. A litter of one, but she must be special as she is the first brown nose ever born at Ujamaa

August

On 8th August Blondie was BOB at the Murray Valley KC under MR E Gilbert Jr (USA) giving her the 100 points needed for her title!!! She got her title with 7 CCs (average of 14 points), and all BOB awards. It included a Runner up in Group and an Intermediate in Group award.

July

Blondie took out Reserve CC at a large Melbourne show under Judge Sir Anthony Trollope. She has been awarded by 3 of 4 breed specialists this year and will go back into the ring in August.

April

Jack has arrived! I saw Can Ch The Black Pearl of Course (Jack Sparrow) at the US Specialty and was taken by his temperament, moderation, front and general good looks! With thanks to Barb and Ray we are hoping Jack will sire some puppies for us later in the year by AI. Photos of Jack taken at the US Speciality here

In April Blondie came home with BOB and Intermediate in Group from the Bunyip show. After a drive from Marysville she took out BOB and Runner Up in Group at the Easter Festival Kennel Club. Judge was breed specialist Patrice Johansen. Many thanks to Cat Glenn once again!

March 19/20

RRCV Specialty show held in Melbourne. BIS was Gr Ch Elengani Dream Run, Runner up in show was Ch Isilwane State of the Union- both dogs. Bitch CC was Macumazahn First Edition and Reserve CC was Ch Adbesare Midnight Mist (both from Open bitch). Ujamaa Evernescence was 5th in the large Open bitch class, her daughter Ujamaa Gretchen Von Schwinn was Best Ridge overall and Ujamaa Pure Blonde made the final cut for Best Gaited Bitch.

Feb/March

Cat took Blondie to a few shows and came home with 3 Best of Breed awards, one Runner up Best of Breed, and one placement of 4th out of 4!

Milla (Ch Isilwane Big Bada Boom) has had a litter of one female puppy to Vizara Jukati- born 24th January by Caesarian section. Photos of Moet here. Pedigree here.

However, our primary objective is to breed sound companions.
