Genetic Diversity

Breeding since the late 1970's we have always been conscious of avoiding inbreeding and have one of the lowest Coefficient of Inbreeding figures of the major breeders in Australia. A Coefficient of inbreeding is calculated on all proposed matings. This service is available to other breeders on request.

Recently we have imported new bloodlines, sometimes in conjuction with other breeders. These include

US Ch Podarok Iz Afriki Duncan Viktor (Imp Russia)

Semen was imported from CJ in 2019 with thanks to Lisa Hoffman. He is a proven stud dog with some lovely progeny in the US and has a very good pedigree. His sire is Int Ch Myollnir Kyala (Cubo) and dam Podarok IZ Afriki Dazzle Queen. We hope to use it later in 2020. More about CJ here

Rekaylahn Kwa Red at Ujamaa, ROM (Imp UK)

Red died at Marysville in the Black Saturday fires on Feb 7, 2009. He was an exceptional dog and lives on through his progeny. Red's details and pedigree here. We have a limited amount of semen available, so look for some Red pups in the future

NZ Gr Ch Boulderbrae Chobe (AI)

Flek was a son of Red and a number of NZ Champions Red sired. A proven sire we thank Jocelyn Hansen for allowing us to bring his semen into this country. We have had one litter from Flek to date in 2017

Multi Ch Vizara Jukati (Netherlands)

With thanks to Willemijn Pronk we have been able to use the top African and European bloodlines embodied by Jukati. We have had two litters (Moet- only pup) from Jukati including our own Ujamaa Winx. Jukati has a great temperament and is a Multi Champion by virtue of being a Champion in France, Holland and Belgium.

"Chris" is producing some wonderful progeny in the USA and is himself a son of International, Canadian and AKC CH Wyndrunhr Skywalker, JC, HIC, TT, CGC, ROM (Coby). I was delighted to meet Chris and some of his progeny at the 2010 US National show in California. With thanks to Lin Hainlen!
